Day 6 - A Day of Rest

Claudette and I have been burning the candle at both ends.  It was a beautiful day to fly but we both needed a day of rest.  We slept in, did laundry, and had lunch with my BFF, Denise, and God Daughter, Jaclyn who just graduated from nursing school so proud.  (I can’t believe that we forgot to take pictures.)

We also took another online course so that we can fly the Hudson River Exclusion tomorrow, weather permitting.  We also spent some time flight planning and tweaking our plans.  So far, we have flown 9 hours and landed in 9 states.

Pictures: Top to Bottom

1) and 2) Hudson River Exclusion Certificates Complete for both of us

3) Myra and Claudette fulfilling FAA requirements to be ale to circumnavigate the Statue of Liberty

  2. Hey, That is totally cool having a SFRA for the Hudson River Transition to be able to fly around the Statue of Liberty. Now, there's a video we'd all love to see from you two. I didn't know a certificate was required.
I wonder if this SFRA was before or after Chesley Sullenberger and the US Airlines jet landed in the Hudson? Just asking, you know. And if an SFRA was required did Sully have his SFRA before he landed there? Curious minds want to know.
    Be well,
